Overview

Hoptimal contains all the information available in the VIDAL database on drugs commercialized in France, including generic drugs and those used in pre-commercialization expanded access programs (ATU).
It provides access to all information in the LPPR database.
Hoptimal also provides information on personal care and spa products listed in the pink pages of the VIDAL Drug Compendium.

Functions

• Rapid product search using various criteria: Products, Reimbursed Product and Service List (LPPR), Indications, Tablet Forms and Colors, Pharmaceutical Manufacturer and Classifications.
• Advanced search using numerous filters: GHS, retrocession, accreditation for collective institutions, hospital products, doping drugs, off-market medications, administration routes, etc.
• Synoptic or exhaustive display of the official information on a drug.
• Detection of drug-drug interactions and pathophysiological contra-indications (age, gender, weight, pregnancy, breast-feeding, creatinine clearance, ICD10 diseases and allergies).
• Alternative treatment suggestion of another drug with the same indication if a drug-drug interaction is detected.
• Assistance in disease coding using the 3 available classifications (ICD10, ICPC and SFMG) and facilitated by the use of specific thesauruses.
  Access to various optional modules: Foreign Equivalences (125,000 products referenced in 23 countries), Tox’In (database about acute poisoning), VIDALpatient (fact-sheets explaining diseases in simple terms) and VIDAL Recos (consultation of therapeutic recommendations).
• Provision of advanced functions for pharmacists:
  - function allowing links between various documents (Rational Use Contract, prescription, internet link, etc.) to chosen products (UCD).
  - real-time management of the hospital drug inventory (creation, deletion, modification of drugs).
• Downloading files of results or print-out drug fact-sheets (CSV or PDF formats).
• Integration of and interfacing with main hospital software (DMP, drug routing, GEF, etc.) in order to ensure traceability and comprehensive computerization of the drug circuit with a view to pharmaceutical cost control.
